The LGBTQ+ Network (see Welcoming Video - to be updated soon) is open to parents, educators, researchers, other professionals, and community leaders who support gifted LGBTQ+ students, as these youth strive to thrive in a sometimes less-than-accepting world. It is NOT necessary to be a member of the LGBTQ+ population to be a network member. We LOVE and NEED advocates, too! We dedicate ourselves to NAGC's openness, support of marginalized groups, and its broad perspective. We will embody NAGC’s ongoing development of policies and practices that back widely-varied marginalized groups, and, like the NAGC, we will encourage research, staff development, advocacy, communication, and collaborative efforts on behalf of our gifted LGBTQ+ youth, other high-potential students, and the youth that gifted LGBTQ+ students will encounter.
